Julius Caesar was born in 100 BCE by coincidence. He came to some of the Roman political roles a couple of years earlier than you were technically meant to. Some people think he was actually playing by the rules, but there's no ancient evidence for that. But then Caesar was living in a time when people started breaking the rules a lot. So I think it's more likely that that was the case. His early life is a little bit cloudy because we have two biographies of him from historians and letters.
