The Origin of the Lance

Lance is a Latin word meaning the same thing, which came into French as last year. It's believed that the broken lance was used to describe a long-serving soldier who was likely to have broken many of their lances during battle. As well as soldiers and olden times, some of them were wearing or carrying swords. But what is sword? I always love the word sword because it's nanogram of the words.
