Modern Co-Ops Are Good, but They've Never Become the Mainstream

I'm from Finland originally and there are lots of co-ops in Finland. And you know these are all fine and these are good, and they can provide sometimes better livelihoods or at least better lifestyles for the people who are involved in them. They've never sort of taken over the market. They haven't been able to compete away the primary profit driven model. The vast majority of people in the world have to put up with the profitdriven model. And then we've got to look at how do we democratize and make accountable with big tech that the de facto public institutions of the digital economy.
