The Problem With the Set Point Theory

The settling point model is based on the idea there's kind of passive feedback between the size of your body and certain aspects of energy expenditure. The issue at the settling point theory is it doesn't leave enough room for some of the physiological constraints, according to Dr Michael Boulden. So in this paper, they present two other models that, in my opinion, are more compatible with both the mechanistic evidence and the population level trends we see over time.
