Are We Making Them Better?

The bias is this. It's very easy to say, because I was the victim, then what I've done is okay. And you can't take that at face value. You have to go back and look at the individual actions on a case by case basis. This one is called the catastrophe normalcy bias. Our brains tend to respond to dramatic catastrophes, but easily miss compounding slow erosions of normalcy.
