You have to know that people are limited, and you have to not expect someone to become some one they've never been. Honoring the blueprint doesn't mean embracing it if it's toxic. One of the questions in the new book is, have you ever had to end a toxic relationship? And what did it teach you? Because those are the kinds of lessons you want your children to learn from you. Excepting some one for whom they are sometimes leads to a more intimate and beautiful kind of love. At other times it leads to a very clear headed decision that this person is a cancer in my life, and i need, i need to cut them out.
