Deutsch argues that once life has the ability to use this process to create power, 'that will change the cosmology of the universe back into a collapsing universe' But if there's any way to collapse the universe and they're going to choose to do it to power their starships or power their cultures or their societies, then you can't just use an observation like that to discount the omega point.
