How to Deal With the Fear of Not Being Believed in Therapy

The best way to deal with this is to start processing it. You had a really, really bad situation. Someone who was supposed to help you hurt you. We need to unpack that. That's what I would encourage you to bring up first and to talk about as much as you can in therapy. Let them know what came up for you. This might have been obviously of some diagnosed autism, but there were other scenarios in your life when things kind of happen like this. Maybe this tracks back to some things that you felt from childhood or messages you received from your parents or teachers or other people in your life.
