Is There a Choice to Make Technology Is Not Got Given?

I do not say it cannot happen but we have this problem also when we define singularity as the point where a machine can do everything a human can do but better. We are really really far away from that from the physical perspective for example if you take robots they have what do we have? I think there's a choice to make technology is not got given it's not like oh it just will happen and as I looked into the whole AI topic also from the perspective of narrative IThink there's a lot of narration going on there as well and also a lot of fear mongering  so I don't see that anytime near yeah.
