Is There a Future in Artificial Intelligence?
Go was presented to me with artificial intelligence, the modern approach. It instilled in me the idea that if we can create a system that can solve the game of Go, we've achieved AGI. The software engineering aspect of it is mind blowing. I don't, I've never been a part of a program as complicated as the program that they built for that. And even more so after AlphaGo Zero then kind of renamed and advanced into AlphaZero,. beating a world champion, a world class player, without any supervised learning on expert games by playing itself. So that is, I don't know what to make of it.
