The Fear of Being Left or Abandoned
Autistic people experience rejection sensitive dysphoria. They try to identify where things went wrong, or what we could have done to avoid criticism. Overthinking and replaying social interactions is another way they feel abandoned. It's a lifetime of being isolated, ostracized, pushed away. Why would you think we won't assume everyone is going to abandon us? We are. If we're not, then why is the stats to say that it's actually really hard to be an autistic person in modern day Australia?"
