The Mavericks could have played ultra hardball with Kyrie Irving, but that's just not how the league works. James Hardin turned down all that money in Brooklyn. That was dumb. He should have taken it. And we are seeing that a little bit with Hardin to bring it all the way back. I don't know what understanding was struck between Daryl Morrie and James Hardin. Obviously there is nothing binding. None of us were in the room during the conversation. We'll get back to that.
