How do we persuade people to move in our direction? That's been my research area for decades. But I'm going to talk about a particular kind of behavior, environmental behavior. The issue of sustainability is as important as there is right now on this planet. We're expending social capital because people don't like being constrained. And they resent those individuals who try to do it.
