Christian political identity has been so thoroughly dominated that we think we know very precisely to be a Christian is to be about these what's. What David is talking about is the how. The how, you know, let's just be clear. You can draw a much clearer straight line from Jesus to these hows than you can to any particular set of what's. And in this particular cultural moment, that how is radical, right? To be kind, to be humble, to love truth, to forgive your enemies. That is radical in this political moment.
