How Did Your First Sewing Project Stick With You?

Sewing was a hobby of mine growing up on the farm in saskatchon. My first sewing project, of course, was a tube top for barby. I just absolutely loved studying design and the patter making part of it. So that kind of threw me into the fashion industry. After i graduated from ryerson, you have to work in the industry to gain experience. Not so much in home sewing like it is now, but the beginning,. i spent about 20 years as a pattern maker, a designer and a fit technician in the industry.
