The Early Bronze Age Settlement of Troy
Troy one dates to a period from about 2500 to 2300 BCE. It was best excavated right in the center of the mound by Heinrich Lehmann in the early 1870s. In other areas of the mound, we have well-preserved remains of Troy two, Troy six and Troy seven. The most elaborate of these treasures contained gold, silver, bronze, lapis, lassily,. A dark blue stone from Afghanistan, Cornelian, a dark red stone from the Indus Valley in Pakistan, amber from the Baltic.
