How to Interact With Terminal Shells

The shell is your kind of command interpreter. It's the thing that makes sense of those characters, and it interfaces with the system. The cool thing about the terminal shell interface is that it's all text base. And what that sort of allows is, like, you can n you know, when you run a terminal locally, you might run batters s h. But it also sets up very well to doing like remote access to machines. So if you're building a terminal, you want to build it to respect the output of all the common shells.
