Defendant Lisamil's Mental Illness
Lisemil was found guilty of second degree murder under the criminal code. Her minimum sentence would be ten years, although it would be at the judge's discretion at sentencing if that would be increased. The jury deliberated for most of the day before reaching their verdict almost 18 months after the murder of kirk morran. They rejected lisemil's claims of self defence and that she was driven by her mental illness.
