It's very it's so loosey goosey everything about the time war because so time travel. They have to keep jumping back and forth between so that your adversary doesn't get a leg up on you in creating whatever reality is. You don't even a lot of the time see like the specific stuff that they're there to do in time. It's really that what the picture you get of the time war is just this like big unending like trench warfare where yeah either side really has like a win condition or neither side can really make progress against the other.
