It's really hard to change people's minds in real time. I can count on one hand the number of times i've witnessed somebody relinquish fairly corp cherished beliefs. The revelation that our everyday experience is not a reliable guide to the ultimate nature of reality is a major transition in thought. We don't have thisn ded faith in our own observations, our own ability to understand things.
