The Role of Love Magic in Our Behavior

There's a lot of discussion of magic and particular love magic, which is like traditional malagasy understandings of this magical world. It got me thinking about magic as a social institution. I think if you both enter a spell in B, you could defeat someone in a spell. And B is a form of revenge. So even if there isn't actually an option for me to curse you in the material world, curse you, if we have a shared understanding that I can curse you, that shapes our behavior.
