What's the Baccernum?

Aaron Swartz was working on an early version of RSS, which is the Baccernum for really simple syndication. The idea being that in early as the internet, if you wanted to read some news, you just have a site that you go to and check to see if there's a new article. And they would also have to have a good enough website that would put the new things at the top of the website, which was quite rare. I think it's downplayed how important he was in actually figuring out the the code around RSS because it's built an XML kind of tech.
