CHAPTER

Is There a Process Level Approach to Regulating Machine Learning?

We live in the eraof huge language models, gepty three, a dally, that sort of thing. Government lacks both the technical abilitythe the people to replicate these systems and the scale of ike compute resource allocation they would need. A this seems to create another kind of issue for transparency. And maybe it's resolved by the sort of process level stuff you've discussed. Maybe that is the solution. But i'm curious for your thoughts about how governments could actually regulate industries,. regulate systems that they can't even replicate themselves, kind of play around with.
