The History of the False Prophets

When we read these verses, verses five through twenty one, it's so important to really understand the historical context of verse six. Jesus says, many shall come in my name saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. And then he's also going to say something similar in verse nine. May false prophet shall rise and deceive many. That's going to lead into verse twelve. Speaking of the abomination of desolation, Jesus says, when you therefore shall see the abominationof desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet concerning the destruction of Jerusalem, then you shall stand in the holy place.
