The Importance of Polytemporal Thinking

I'm fascinated by cosmic scale processes too, but we don't need to send people. We are Earthlings and we emerge from this place. Let's learn to take better care of it. I think that having serious earth science in the schools is something that over the long term could start to make a difference. Even very educated people have almost no clue about how the earth works.
