Patrick responds to a listener email about his thoughts on the movie “A Man Called Otto” because of the trans character. This sets off a massive train reaction of listener engagement on the air, both pro and con, and an avalanche of emails expressing very strong feelings about this trans character and most of it is negative. Patrick stands his ground and argues with the message of showing a more Christ like kindness and having compassion for those living a lifestyle you don’t agree with without compromising your convictions
- Gary (email) – Was surprised you recommended the movie “A man Called Otto” because of the transgender person in the film. What are your thoughts about that?
- Joe - Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. I want to respectfully say that in order to be a nun you have to be a woman, they should refer to them as 'brothers of perpetual indulgence'
- Carl - Comment about corporations making nonsense financial decisions without looking at the bottom line.
- Marylyn - What would make a person need/want/believe in anything that they can't see?
- Carlos - I thought that the movie was about inclusion. I wouldn't recommend it, but I enjoyed it.
- Mike - I don't think it's appropriate for people to watch “Otto.” I think that the movie is a slippery slope. I think that there are people who don't have the moral foundation as Patrick.
