Is There a Third Effect in General Relativity?

You cannot be in orbit, in fact, close to a black hole. The idea of the centrifugal force is that as things are whirling around, they get shot out. According to general relativity, both of those are fictitious forces. And so that means that actually, if you get closer enough of the black hole, going faster in a circle is actually counterproductive. Once you're inside a certain radius, which is 3pm for those that keep in track, the increase in gravitational attraction towards the black hole caused by your orbital kinetic energy exceeds the centrifugalforce.
