Sensitivity Reading - Is This Your Story to Tell?
In pretty much every book i've worked with, the author has been keen to do the best representation they can. They want their books to be well received by the communities they're writing about. What happened in that case was the are happy then to take on that correction. I would say that done carefully and, you know, consciously, with a lot of research, it can be done really well. You stop a sensitivity reader from turning into an over sensitivity reader. It's always going to be possible to find it, but you may be having offence on behalf of people who don't feel that at all. A lot of disabled readers will not want to be thought of as a potential occasion
