I'm Waiting for Richard Speck to Show Up on Screen

Joel Akhenbach wrote a piece called creeping surrealism in the mid-eighties about how life is getting weirder and sort of less difficult to believe but we don't seem to mind. There's a line in that song of mine Dairy Queen um were like what the cookies from pepperoni farms that really come from factories which comes from that article or inspired by that article. And there's one paragraph where he talks about surely mcclean this is way off the dome from almost 40 years ago but  he was prescient back then. He says it sends the wrong signal when people say things like hyper normalization they oughtn't use because it sends thewrong signal.
