The History of the Gora O'Torton Hike

In early 1959, 23 year old Igor Deatlav formed a hiking group of eight others for a skiing expedition across the northern Ural Mountains in Sfirdlovsk. The goal of this expedition was to reach the mountain Gora O'Torton. On January 28th, one member of the group turned back because of a knee and joint pain that he was experiencing. This moment actually saved his life and he's subsequently lived to about 2013 where he passed away at the age of 75.
