The Effect of Death on Body Temperature

The idea is that when you die, your lungs are no longer being cooled by taking in air. This causes a temporary rise in body temperature before Algomortus sets in. Clark even suggested that this was why McDougal got different results with dogs because dogs don't sweat. It takes time for sweat to evaporate and would have been trapped by the bedclothes after death.
