The Importance of Following Jesus

Second Corinthians 5 and 21 says God made the one who was not sinned to be sin so that you and him, you and I might become the righteousness of God. So when Paul says you are a son, he's also saying you are an heir. He is saying in the same way that an heir doesn't have to work, they just receive. This is what it means to follow Jesus,. That Jesus has earned all of our righteousness on the cross and you and I as sons and daughters get to receive all of his righteousness.
