When you're a junior dad applying to a company, you feel grateful. It makes it hard to advocate for yourself whether that's to do with a position or compensation. Sometimes I don't value myself still and I go into something with less than what I deserve. That has happened to me many times over the last seven years. But I always try to go back to that feeling of, hey, I am valuable. I am a valuable employee. So I should be worth at least what other people are making."I felt exactly the same way when I started out," he says.
