The Real Story of Christina Facing Down in a Bowl of Soup

The mannequin was a work by American artist Mark Jenkins. Christina was commissioned by the gallery director who wanted a portrayal of his sister of the same name and passed out in a bowl of soup. Andrew Bird grew up around here in North Chicago as a student of the violin but he didn't really love classical music. He devoted himself to playing folk music and then swing and pop and eventually his own style which has been called a lot of things but is really just Andrew Bird.
