A woman named Anne Fausto Sterling in academia said intersex is more common than people who have red hair. She was teaching this to all the university's settings and the students were like, oh, wow, I had no idea intersex was as common as having red hair. And it's 2% of the whole population. But if you look at all of the disorders of sexual development that she kind of lays out, 90% of these are not intersex conditions.
