Is It Cathartic to Play a Dark Character or a Tree Branch or Something Else?

I think Deepak Chopra said happiness is divine discontent because it leaves room for the creative impulse and I think what you're describing is anything that's static like you're too rigid like a tree branch you break. That kind of builds up in an emotional bank so bringing that to a creative project gives room for creativity. We collectively and individually know these things and yet we we do so much in our lives to go the opposite direction and I don't know why we do thatYeah did playing such a dark character didn't feel like that was cathartic in any way for processing some you know? It wasn't conscious of like oh this is nice to be able to get all this angst off
