"I would love to meet a race director who's like, no, I've just built my own thing and I haven't really made a huge effort to outreach in the community," she says. "Even without COVID, you know, you need that community support because you need sponsors ... You need them to rally for you if your municipality is giving you a hard time." She adds: "If they know that they've seen me celebrating their business out networking, highly involved, and giving back when they have an ask for their business, absolutely".
