The Second Order Effects of a Wage Subsidy
If we raise the minimum wage significantly, it will bring many people out of poverty. That will be much better for them and their children. A wage subsidy is just so much more powerful. The beautiful thing about the 15 dollar minimum wige is that, on paper, it's free. There's no government outlay. We really want to lift incomes, and we want to expand employment at one and the same time.
