I wonder, did the soldiers you were with ever talk about the reason they were there? And I mean, wars very often have multiple extensible reasons why they're taking place. So your whole life is just really, really shrunk down into the day to day minutiae of being with a fighting force. A lot of the soldiers that you were with are only 18, 19 and 20. They signed up to be in the army, train, then that was what they trained for.
