Nine grunental employees were charged with intent to commit bodily harm and voluntary manslaughter. The prosecution gathered huge amounts of data, more than five thousand case histories that took six years to analyze. In the end, prosecutors met with defense lawyers, the grunental corporate board and no representatives of phelitimite victims. They worked out an agreement whereby the company paid what worked out to a couple thousand dollars per victim, and all victims agreed never to sue again.
