The Lord's Commission for Elijah

Elijah is told to go out and stand on the mountain for the Lord. But then all this stuff happens, we're told Elijah wrapped his face in a cloak. So it's like he stayed in the cave the whole time this was happening instead of actually doing what the word had told him to do. Paul: "I will leave 7,000 in Israel ... who have not bowed to Baal" The task that Paul talks about in Romans 11 might be a surprise to how well or poorly these purposes are carried out.
