The Reconstruction of the Proto-Synthesis Grand Narrative

Post modernism realized that many of the things we take for granted in the world around us are simply stories tell ourselves. An overarching story of life is seen to be limiting and oppressive. Any attempt to create a grand narrative can easily be deconstructed based on its cultural and value assumptions. The meta modern move you write, is to begin to return to grand narratives once again. We need overarching stories that show us our place in the cosmos, give us meaning in life and help us battle the meto cresis within a so anyway, say more about this sort of notion of a proto synthesis grand narrative.
