How Salonner's Single Slot Finality Might Be Too Long for Some Use Cases

One of the main criticisms i've heard about salona that perhaps is valid is that this timed-off finality might be too long for some use cases. I'm less familiar with blockchains that have single slot finality are there any examples and how did they accomplish that? There's essentially this new algorithm everyone's kind of like clamoring over called like hot stuff it's a modified tenderment so the way tenderment works is every node in the network first agrees on what the order of the block is going to be, then they all execute it. So by separating those two steps you can have some guarantee in that first round that like oh this is the order things are going to land
