I'm sure at the time it was probably very nerve wracking. Most of my friends in college also were pre-med, not all of them, but several of them were. And so that was also an aspect of this that was hard. I kind of felt like we were all working towards this goal together. So if I chose not to pursue it anymore, it kind of was like unclear what that would mean for our friendship. But overall they were very like understanding and accepting of my decision.
