The Differences Between Democritus and Epicurus
Karl Marx was the first one to say that Democritus and Epicurus were different. And they were different because of the swerve, he says. But we don't have a single bit of Epicurus' writings about the swerve. It is not at all obvious. We have three letters from Epicurus. Everything else is commentary on Epicurus. In the end, ultimately, I think Epicurus probably did say something about a swerve.
