Urim and Thumim of First Samuel 14, Forty One
The greek word clerao is used, which unmistakably means casting lots. The hebrew text doesn't mention the urim and thumim. That's only in the greek septuagent. So if the hebrew text is correct, they may not have using the rim and thomim, but just casting ordinary lots.
