Superman: Truth and Justice in the American Way
This is a really notable moment. It's hard to overstate how much Superman had a cultural influence in this moment. The Klan was sort of in decline for other reasons in this moment as well. I do think that the fact that the child in the family that were being attacked were Chinese Americans is actually probably more pathbreaking and cutting edge than the attack on the Klan itself.
