The Controversy Over Bitcoin's Proposal to Make Authentication Easier
On Bitcoin, in this proposal, there is no identity and there's also no authentication. That's just not part of the proposal, but the proposal does make it possible. So if you do want to say you're running a server park yourself with a bunch of Bitcoin nodes and you only want to connect them to your own nodes, then you might be able to build something on top of this system that will let you do that. But yeah, but I guess on lightning, it's also a little bit less crucial.
