Neural Networks for Genomics
The way genes affect the genetic variants effect phenotypes is pretty linear. So I don't see that LLMs are going to cause a sudden lurch forward for computational genomics just because of the nature of the problem. There's a lot of work being done on use of deep neural nets in physics right now. Given enough data, you should be able to train pretty good neural networks that actually capture in some sense the physics.
