Is There a Majority Opposition in the North to the War?
In the north itself, i think the attack on fort sumter is widely seen as sort of treacherous attack by secessionist rebels o the south. And i think he has wide, widespread support in popular opinion. I think the majority opinion is that lincoln's right and that the war is necessary. There are people who think that peace should be preserved at any at any price,. But certainly, in the early years, they are not the majority.
